![]() Here's the details on my issue: I click on iMovie icon, it launches and the "Loading" window appears with a strolling status bar. I've gone through the all the steps found in all the knowledge base articles and forums to remedy but none have worked (NVRAM flush, Boot in Safe Mode and cleared all user permissions back to default, I deleted, downloaded and re-installed iMovie). It bombs out trying to update project media in the library. BUT on July 15, there was an update pending in the App Store for iMovie 10.2.5. iMovie has always worked without a problem since I got this MBP and I use iMovie frequently. I have a MBP (16-inch, 2019), running Big Sur ver 11.4. With Wondershare Filmora9 importing a 1.53GB clip: Memory used 4.41GB Wondershare using 785.4MBĪfter updating to 10.2.5, iMovie crashes upon startup as it tries to update the existing projects in the Movie library. Guest account - iMovie importing a 1.53GB clip: Memory used 11.44GB iMovie using 25.03GBĥ. With iMovie importing a 1.53GB clip: Memory used 11.30GB iMovie using 10.17GBĤ. With iMovie App open: Memory used 4.82GB iMovie using 180.9MBģ. With iMovie App closed: Memory used 4.27GBĢ. However, I am reluctant to shell out for the paid version in order to remove the ‘watermark’ covering roughly a third of the screen if iMovie can be made to work.Īctivity Monitor records my computer’s proceses as follows:ġ. I have searched the net for an answer without avail.
